The University of Adelaide is one of Australia’s leading Group of Eight universities, with over 25,000 students and 3,500 staff across three campuses. A major growth in devices put stress on the network due to the University’s password-based approach to Wifi. This stress led to frequent WiFi disruptions and account lockouts, which cost time and IT support costs, and it could not be used by visitors.
Engaging Beachhead to solve this problem, the University of Adelaide introduced next generation WiFI that uses certificate-based authentication to ensure simple device registration for University staff, students and visitors.
It allows simple, self-service onboarding that does not require IT involvement, and it delivers a consistent connection that is the gold standard in usability and security.
“It has been great working with the Beachhead Group to overcome persistent challenges with password-based Wi-Fi.”
